Despite a supreme lack of attention to the front yard in the last month combined with a shocking lack of sun in the 'hood, the nasturtiums have been going about their business. So well, in fact, that last week, this was the top step of my front porch. Why wouldn't that plant want to head halfway under the porch where it's dark and kick out just one shoot with a bright orange flower?
I'm taking it as a cry for help from the rest of the plants and will resume digging and watering today.
